This Storm on February 25 and 26 2010 was called the 'snow hurricane' because of the intense winds that accompanied it as it moved from the south west on to the North Eastern coast. Winds of over 60 miles per hour wer recorded
The storm was the third storm in as many weeks in Elmhurst New York, and New York New Work.
It was the 5th major snow storm of the wenter of 2009 to 2010 season along the Atlantic North East Coast. The first 2 snow storms had major impacts in Washington DC and Philadelphia. The 3rd storm affected Washington, Philadelphia and New York. The last 2 of the five had their major impact in New York and points north
It is proably needless to say but necessary none the less: North Easterners are tired of the Nor' Easterners of 2010. Elmhurst got just about 12 inches from this storm, Central Park got 14 inches and points wes, in New Jersey got way too much - up to 25 inches
