The Roosevelt Island / Manhattan cable car from the East River in New York city.
The cable car was the only way to directly access Manhattan without take a long trip through Queens NY using the 59th Street Bridge
A Subway stop now serves Roosevelt Island directly between Manhattan and Queens (It's an F Train stop)
